Fallen Empire humilates me all 10 years
i play fanatical autocratic with militaristic.

in the early game, a fallen Empire appear on the other side of the map. Then i missclicked a decision. Now it humilates me all 10 years (5x in a row now) and gives me like -10 happiness modifier and other worse stuff.

how can i end this?

What ethics are they?
Build up a fleet to hit them back. Make defensive pacts to help hit back, if you are not ready then just immediately surrender the war before a battle happens to avoid taking losses. As long as they are not awakened they can't rebuild ships so you can whittle them down slowly by attrition. In my experience, it only ends when you give them a black eye in return.

It's the early game, there's no reasonable way to fight a fallen empire at that point. And surrendering can be crippling, you get the -10% happiness penalty, your ruler dies every time, and you lose a ton of influence.

I'll be honest, I missed the early game part. In that that case, better off just beginning a new save. Too much of a slog.

its fanatic religious one. But its still HIGHLY annoying. Especially the game, to this point, is much fun.

So there is no way to fix this and i have to deal with the -10% penality all 10 years?

Once you lose the war, you have to deal with the penalty for 10 years. There is no way around it. It is not really that big of a deal, honestly.

It gets annoying when they repeatedly declare war on you. To avoid this, it depends on why they declared war on you to begin with. For example, spiritual FE's can have holy worlds that they will not let you colonize. They declare war on you to liberate the planet, but once the planet is uninhabited again, they will stop attacking you. Another FE won't let you capture any systems adjacent to theirs. Just figure out why they attacked you to begin with and avoid that situation.

Thats the thing. the Fallen Empire is on the OTHER SIDE of the Galaxy. I am in the East-Area, the FE is on the West.
They popped up in the first 10 Years as "First Contact" without needing to research. After this, i got after 5 Years the humilating stuff. If i dont let them give me the modifiier, they declare war on me.

So i just click "yea humilate me and give me -10, 25% and 25% of the stuff. Its highly annoying and completly not understandable. Especially i am not like a materialist.

Deal with the debuff until you can fight them. Seems like the more realistic approach.
But if you want to save scum you're more than free to do so, play however you want.

I have no idea what you did to make the spiritualist FE spam humiliate you at the start of the game.

Messing with holy worlds or insulting them I guess.

Their opinion should improve each time you submit to their punishment, to the point that they should leave you alone when their opinion of you goes back above -100. If you go to war instead, that will not stop (well unless you beat them of course, but I don't think that's a realistic option in the early game :D ).

I guess Spiritualists can spam a demand to ban the AI if you choose to evolve into a Synthetic, and impose a debuff if you refuse, but I don't know how to accomplish that in the early game without console cheats. Or perhaps you played as Mechanists with early robot technology

But holy worlds are always near them. And OP says they're on the other side of the map.

Not likely that's what caused it, anyway, as they only do that to empires that have already pissed them off. And they would have used the Outlaw AI wargoal instead of humiliate.

The opinion malus that spiritualists get towards robots would contribute towards getting to -200 with them, but it's not enough on its own.

OP, what version of the game are you playing? Is it an old one, or the current? And if old, which one?
Kael Apr 5, 2024 @ 9:34am
Its an actual one. the FE has -200 with me. Is there any option to add a picture here...
