Arcology Project or Master Builders?
I'm playing as a xenophile and materialistic empire and I was lucky enough to end up with the the Cybrex as my precursors. Now it's the beginning of the mid game and I already have a section of the ring world colonized (that I'm focusing on research) and I am finishing building a Matter Decompressor foundation.
I have a lot of energy profit but not so many minerals and rare resources and I'm afraid of creating an Ecumenopolis and not being able to sustain it. Which Ascencion Perk should I choose first?

Definitely Arcology Project.

Master Builders is more of a "win more" AP, if you already have a Matter Decompressor under construction then you'll have all the minerals you'll need for a long time and even if you don't you can always trade with any other empire for their resources with all the alloys and consumer goods you can make.

Ecumenopolis are more powerful than ever in the modern versions of the game thanks to Planetary Ascension. Arcology is absolutely worth your slots, and should be a perk you pick up much sooner.

Master Builders is basically useless unless you were strictly on a time crunch for whatever reason.
