Still not a fan of that option, since it means the DLC with go on sale less often and with lower discounts (the reason why I never bothered picking up EU4 again).
It is a very good option for a trial run.
Spend 10 bucks and you get to play a full month with the complete game.
For someone that has only just started it’s a godsend since he can test the different aspects of the game and decide if and which DLC he wants to buy.
For everyone else, yeah, it’s not worth it. But it is a completely optional, entirely voluntary alternative to buying all DLC.
If you prefer to buy DLC individually, you are still free to do so.
As always, giving an additional option that doesn’t impact anyone but those that want to use it, is not a bad thing.
It's not worth it for people who play a bit every month consistently.
But if you play dozens or hundreds of hours in a couple of weeks every handful of months, it is.
The 10 bucks a month for stellaris is way too expensive.
I'd honestly play Runescape a lot more if instead of subbing to it, I could buy each part individually.
As it is I'm no longer subbed to Runescape and high chances I'll never return. A subscription is a perpetual FOMO.
I have all DLCs, but there are games I wish they had an option like that. Paying over 100€ for playing Warhammer TW3 and didnt have anything.
