Is it Possible to Kill Cetana Without Doing Any of the Sub-Quests to Weaken her?
Title. I like playing passive as a pacifist xenophobic isolationist. Cetana's sub-quests need players to go around scanning beacons and hitting convoys in foreign territory, which is pretty problematic for isolationists.

Nope, as a matter of fact you can't end her altogether without blowing up her Colossus

You can always wait for an AI empire to take care of it for you, they can defeat the crisis by themselves :)

Ah, let me clarify my usual settings: 5x crisis, on commodore difficulty. Cetana had multiple 5.9m power fleets in my last run, and the AI can barely scrape together 1m fleet power altogether even at year 2450.

Bummer. Guess I'll just have to prep as many fleets as I can and then just brute-force her colossus when the window to kill her opens up.

If you want to do something that may work without getting someones hands dirty, for the pure sake of it, try to isolate the colossus as quickly as possible without destroying any fleets and then drop a single juggernaught on the isolated colossus, I do get the idea your going with; and as its a colossus its armor is the weakest of all warships in the game besides destroyers and corvettes after all.

Her convoys are not scaled so AI can take care of that part, unless it's an early spawn. As an isolationist empire, you can still improve relations and bribe AI empires for open borders (you have to open your borders to them too) so you can reach her main systems.

I tried to do that but her Collosus retreated to starbase after taking a bit of damage.
though, and this works only if there are two or more entrances avaiable, you can place a single fleet on one side of the system, then move your armada in the OTHER side of the system in order to destroy the starbase while her collosus is distracted. Then retreat, rebuild and 1000000x1 the collosus.
