How can I turn my slaves from workers to specialists?

I have 16 unemployed workers and 9 specialist job spaces im trying to fill. How do I get them to change?

My slaves are lithoids with Indentured Servitude

Generally speaking, slaves cannot do specialist jobs with the exception of entertainers I think.

If available jobs are enforcers and entertainers they cant take it because they are Indentured Servitude

Indentured servitude slaves can do most (not all) specialist jobs.

You could manually unemploy your non slave species from jobs only slaves can take then open those jobs again for the slaves to fill them.

Whenever you intend to take over a planet and enslave the population, make sure you have extra pops from your founder species ready to take on the leader/enforcer roles.

Just send some of those slaves to your other planets, swap them with your founder species.

I've been dealing with that regarding holograms as the slave-race; and it really does work quite well. I would say in my experience in that regard you *upgrade* them by adding in skills to the type of being, and focusing on producing the most advanced types. I would stress that in that case; it is like sending them to trade-school colleges to do jobs in your country, instead of as mere serviles who do meanial tasks like streetsweeping and the like.

For enforcers you can use Battle Thralls and for entertainers Domestic Servitude if you want to use more types of slavery

Just change your slavery type for most of your species to Indentured Servitude which should be your default, and you should avoid having too many of the other types.
