Sentinels - archeology site chain - how to beat them ?
SPOILERS :)

I have right now about 2050 year in game so I am quite low with tech and development (i.e. total combined fleet power at 6k, and 60 points fleet size available).

I play ironmode so it is really important to me to do it succesfully at the first time :)

I went really wide and have excavated about 5 dig sites so far. Still can get 1 more.

I have started sentinels chain dig site and they have taken over my core planet - one of the first I have colonized so it hurts.

Population is not exterminated but sentinels occupy my planet and I do not get profits - it hurts.

I want to get rid of them, but dont know what strenght I should have of my expedition army. Can someone help ?

I have plain ground forces, no upgrades so it gonna be hard.

What army force power I should have to beat those sentinels at around 2k ?

You'll need something like 8,000 army strength to defeat the sentinels, assuming you have no ground combat bonuses and you don't bombard them from orbit; either of those factors can reduce the amount of troops you need.

The reason you need so much more power than the defending sentinels is that they are so tough that you will lose many troops before you defeat the first sentinel. In other words, your army strength will be decreasing while theirs is remaining the same, for a long portion of the conflict.
