Mechanical pops wont migrate...
So I have 2 problems from the same issue
Mechanical pop migration.

Was playing an organic empire, had no issues with automatic migration even with like 10 different species in my empire. Ascended into machine and assimilated everyone now nobody migrates and the controls are greyed out for manual migration.
Now I'm playing a machine intelligence, reached that point in the game where I dont want to micro every single planet so I turned automation on, pops wont migrate.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do, I constructed transit hubs on every system I have pops on and the automatic migration is insanely slow or not happening at all.

You need Transit Hubs in your spaceport or orbital ring. Nothing else you can do.

So I just read one of the tooltips for unemployed drones, it says something like there's no available location for them to migrate to.

I think I pinpointed the problem, my pops are assembling WAY to fast.
Like 22 points per month for a 100 point pop... on about 20 planets.
Got to destroy my neighborhood and steal their houses I guess...

100 growth cost pop? That's the base cost at gamestart. Did you remove the growth scaling?

Not sure about that game settings but I did make a mechanical species with recycled, mass production and rapid replicators. By the time I made this post I already had every single faster assembly research unlocked... Including the improved assembly factory that costs crystals to upgrade.

Was a smooth run, just had to replace the replicator on most planets with another building and the problem solved itself.

Drones in machine empires always resettle automatically. You need planets with free jobs, of course.

Synth ascension turns all your pops into robots; it doesn't turn you into a machine intellgence / gestalt empire. Robots can automatically resettle after researching Positronic AI and not disabling the Citizen Rights AI policy. You necessarily have both after synth ascension.

Obviously you'll need a migration treaty with a non-synth empire for migration to keep working for you. Or at least obtain some organic pops to benefit from both pop growth and assembly.
