Bug - Overtuned Edict 'Damn the Consequences' costs Unity even when the Edict quota is not exceeded
Turning on the Overtuned edict always costs Unity (quite a lot). It doesn't matter if the player is within their unity fund or not.

Other Edicts do not function in this way, they do not cost Unity if the player is within the Edict fund.

I think this a bug that crept in since version 3.10.x

Yeah I just ran into this today. Turns out to have been reported a few times. Hopefully at some point they actually see and fix it.

I made a little mod that just removes the unity cost + cooldown timer on enabling/disabling the policy (for now),

Didn't take that long, it's nice to know that the game is relatively simple to mod.

Mutltiple devs have said this was not a bug and that it was intended, so I wouldn't expect any change on that, at most they'll just add it in the description that it's supposed to work like that :/ . Last time was:

The effect of that (if it's intended), will push players either not to use the 'Damn the consequences' edict while the player is still unlocking traditions, or to prioritise unity generation more, to help make up for the lost unity, when the edict is on.

Note - I think the edict should be called 'Consequences Smonsequences', or something similar...
