Assuming this planet was significant in some way, there should be an entry in your Situation Log related to it. If so, you can find that entry and then click on the Go To button (looks like a green camera behind an orange reticle) to zoom to the location, or click the Track on Map button (looks like a fat pin with a hole near the top and narrowing to a point at the bottom) to activate a continuous ping on the galaxy map at the system in which it is located.

If there isn't an entry somewhere in your Situation Log related to that shattered world, then it is likely of no significant consequence. In that case you'll need to try to remember where you saw it, or you'll have to methodically search systems manually until you locate it... assuming you actually do need to find it for some reason.

not in situation log.

the significance is that i can stick a mining bay on the station if there's a shattered world in the system. but, if i can't find it....

I see. Alas, you'll have to track it down the hard way.

Zoom out and look for the materials icon on the galaxy map, if there's not one then you may of not gotten the material deposit, happened to me when I cracked 4 worlds and finally one gave me a material deposite...apparently its intended like the Habitat changes, it removes the mining bay mass production, crack a world > habitat > profit

Its not a deposit. You can stick a "mining bay" building on a starbase if there is a shattered world in the system, doesn't matter if it has any mineral deposits.
