If there isn't an entry somewhere in your Situation Log related to that shattered world, then it is likely of no significant consequence. In that case you'll need to try to remember where you saw it, or you'll have to methodically search systems manually until you locate it... assuming you actually do need to find it for some reason.
the significance is that i can stick a mining bay on the station if there's a shattered world in the system. but, if i can't find it....
Its not a deposit. You can stick a "mining bay" building on a starbase if there is a shattered world in the system, doesn't matter if it has any mineral deposits.
