Turning Earth into an Ecumenopolis
Got a modded game going, which I haven't played in a while (outside of New Horizons) and planning for the future. Got wondering, what happens if you turn Earth into an Ecumenopolis? Are all of the features lost? Or are just the "natural" ones while the Delhi Sprawl and BosWash, Perl River and Mauritanian Security Zone remain? Does it instead gain cool new Features unique to a Ecumenopolis Earth? And as this is a modded game, are there any cool mods I should get that will improve an Ecumenopolis Earth? Either with planetary features or by giving it a unique texture?

As far as I know: Ecu/Hive/Machine Terraforming removes all features (Unique resource features are excluded, but since the unique features on earth are considered regular features they are likely going to go away because you're paving everything over with Cityscape), and you gain no unique features unless you turned a Relic World into an Ecumenopolis, as for some Unique Planetary Features... tried this?

You lose all features. Note that these features are just for flavor, they merely compose the possible districts of a planet (which an Ecumenopolis doesn't have) with no further purpose.

You also don't get the "former relic world" bonus, which gives an extra research bonus only on restored relic worlds (so a restored RW isn't worse for research than the original RW)

Planetary modifiers generally stay intact, these are the icons on the right of the planetary GFX field.

So basically, the Arcology Project does the opposite of Terraforming (which removes modifiers but doesn't touch features)

Thanks guys! I added that City World Flavour mod to the list because more flavor is always nice to have! I figured all of them would be removed but was hoping maybe there was something in place to keep Earth special. Going to have to think long and hard on the decision. Thankfully, I have a while to go before I get to that point.
