Questions about Purifier Economy
Hey there all, I've recently been going out of my comfort zone and trying new empires types. I.e. Slavers, despoilers, devouring swarms, and everything else that doesn't engage well in diplomacy. I'm having a really hard time managing the economy of Fanatic Purifiers in particular. I'm not looking for builds necessarily, but tips in general would be appreciated.

I'm no pro by any means but I have a game currently on commodore with advanced ai starts and I have conquered 3 1/2 empires in the first 60 years. I have about a 1/4 of the (medium) galaxy right now and I am not settling/keeping sub 60% hab worlds, I have about 20 on .5 setting. My mineral and alloys are fine, but I keep having issues with consumer goods and energy credits. My minerals are capped but I just can't seem to get out of a consumer goods death spiral. I feel like I don't have enough pops to fill new factory and generator worlds. I've even been resettling miners as well as clerks trying to fill these jobs.

How can I manage this as a Purifier with more rapid expansion than I have ever had to deal with and while not having the benefit of being hive minded? My consumer goods problems are starting to make me lag behind in tech now too and I'm not sure how much longer I should be aggressively expanding either. I have Prosperity, Supremacy, Espionage (leaving unfinished for now), and started Unyielding due to 2 1/2 empires on my southern and north-eastern borders. Should I have taken Mercantile and built some trade worlds instead?

Again, any tips from experienced genocidal maniacs would be most welcome. Purifier specifically, please.

Play a Necrophage Purifier or Devouring Swarm and you get to keep 75% of the pops you conquer.

And you're welcome.

Thanks, I have a few different Necrophage empire builds, but not as a Purifier yet. I'll probably try it in the future after a few more games. Recently played as a Necrophage Bandit Commune (Despoiler) so I want a break with a "regular" bio-empire.

Any non-origin specific tips regarding economy for regular ol' bio Purifiers? Are gene clinics a trap on Purifiers? I'm thinking I might be wasting a lot of CGs here trying to get more pops and hab on the 60% base worlds I've conquered. Also should I be sticking with forced labor purging?

Get crisis ascension, then you subjugate neighbours.
On terms of limited diplomacy, and not joining your own wars.
This creates a moat, until you got star eaters.

Become the Crisis lets you subjugate as a Purifier? I can't find anything on a google search that confirms this.

Not trying to be a ♥♥♥♥ or anything, but can anyone give tips on how to play Fanatic Purifier without Necrophage/Lithoids in regards to managing the economy? War is the easy part until your massive empire starts to collapse on its self.
