You can spend the money on the game but as you can see support is a total joke and I would love to see how steam added the problem to pdx code like the spin bot in the private club forum sais

Same thing happened to me today (though I was able to run it fine yesterday). Running stellaris directly from
~Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stellaris/stellaris.app
did seem to at least let it start. That's pretty annoying, though.

I found someone in another forum who mentioned that problems with the Paradox launcher can be due to having System Integrity Protection turned off. This probably doesn't apply to anyone who's not a software developer, but if you run

csrutil status

and it says SIP is disabled, follow Apple's instructions here to turn it back on:
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/disabling_and_enabling_system_integrity_protection

This worked for me. I can only speculate why this would even matter, but most people don't need to and shouldn't run with SIP disabled, so I figured it was worth sharing.

It worked for me as well. Thank You. Even the Paradox-Support do not know that.

This worked for me as well!

csrutil enable
in recovery mode terminal

You saved my day! :)
