Can I disable minor artifacts in ship designer auto-builds?

I was wondering if there was an easy way to toggle off or block the automatic ship designer from using minor artifacts? I know I can turn off the auto-build designs, but it would be much more helpful if anyone knows a way I can tell the ship designer not to use components that require artifacts. Aside from skipping those research choices or manually designing my ships I haven't found a way around that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not possible. You gave your answer yourself: Don't auto-design. It is really quick and easy to do.

It helps, but even with arcanotech it's annoying.
If I am to field a fleet for a small civilisation I rather get this +20 command limit / +80 empire fleet cap.
