Should I evolve(Psionic/Cybernetics/etc) as a Void Dweller?
I read that going Synthetic would wipe out the Void Dweller bonus or something (I went Heroic Past, Technocracy(Mil/Mat/Xeno)) but have 1 more Trait/Asension to invest in so wanted to use it wisely.

Would going Psionic, Cybernetic or Genetic be a good choice or is it better just to steer clear of those?

Cybernetic if you want to stack trade. You can have both the biological and robot trade boosting. Also pop assembly if you have ringworlds.

Genetic is only useful if you want your main pop on planets by removing the void dweller trait.

Psionic still has all around bonus to have as well as all the leader stuff I guess.

I got 2 Relic Worlds and a 3rd is near me to capture. Honestly, I'm not sure what is the smartest way to proceed. I now have 6 habitats in my starting system but since the habitats seem to have an issue with populations over 30, I just cannot get enough workers to man the Trade habs. So I'm thinking of trying to slap some habs in a Relic world system and move my capital over there or something as I am stacking ship cost reduction with my build.

Any further advice is always appreciated.

If you want to settle on the ground consider Gaia terraforming.

How many species do you have around now? it's really nice to put -10% empire size and -10% housing on all of your pops and robots combined, once and for all.

I currently have 2 relic worlds but just turned one into an Ecu. I will acquire another Relic World soon from a nearby empire. I killed a Stellar devourer in a system and after doing the quest chain with its corpse the system spawned 3 planets, one of which was a 25 slot Gaia.

As for species, I have been doing Migration Treaties for awhile now and have a bunch of varied species in my empire, some of which are slaves and others given residence status.

Why not Synthetic? You can turn all species in one species and don't have to worry about the void dweller trait anymore.

The void dweller trait gives +15% specialist and worker output in habitats, but the opposite anywhere else. Genetically switching your home environment or becoming a super adaptable cyborg with high habitability will not change that unless the trait is removed (but why would you?)

All you need to do is make sure your void dweller species doesn't immigrate to planets. Anything else regarding habitability isn't needed.

Go psionic or genetic in my opinion.

As you're Materialist - going psionic will unavoidable create a Spiritualist faction and will reduce overall happiness of your population.

So either go bots (why?) or genetic.
