Invincible AI Ships
I apologize because I know people have talked about this before, but can someone at Paradox PLEASE do something about the bug where AI ships don't take any damage in combat. I play ironman and it can really mess up a days long game. I have a drill where I just try to close the game before my fleet is utterly destroyed by a much smaller fleet, but with so much going on in a game you don't always notice until it is too late.

Are they not taking damage, or are your fleets not even in battle?
There was a bugfix related to fleets not engaging the enemy while the enemy is shooting at them and I've actually not seen any complaint that I remember about this bug since then.

There is a bug not sure if it still exists where your fleet wont enter combat when they meet an ai fleet, so they will just get wrecked cause they aint shooting back

At least some instances of that is supposed to have been fixed some time ago

I've also had this problem across many empires with many dlc configurations without mods. Some fleets seem "hot" and do it often, but they just spin in circles, etc, and will refuse to fire.

Perhaps something to do with gun range? But it's happened with a swarm of disruptors circling right next to a transport ship...

it's triggered by hyperjumps and emergency jumps. And to my experience only for fallen/ascended empires.

Since the invulnerable fleet shows normal movement and behaviour itself, the issue has to do with the way other fleets see the invulnerable fleet.
Also reloading fixes the issue, so it's a property calculated/set on load but it's not continuously recalculated like a function would do.

I put my bet on one of the "in transit" flags not being cleared.
For only fallen/ascended empires, with enough probability to guarantee it happening during a war.

There must be many bugs like this then, because the bug I've experienced, none of those things are true. Non fallen empire, reloading doesn't fix, not related to jumping.
Still an issue in 2025
