Uh oh. The locals aren't going to like you said that.
1. Verify Local Files (Steam) - Right Click Stellaris, Right Click Properties, Go to Local Files and click ""Verify Integrity of Game Files""
2. In the launcher, go to Settings, and change your Video Settings to Borderless Fullscreen or Windowed mode
3. (In Windows) Go to Settings, Add/Remove Programs, and Uninstall Paradox Launcher v2. After relaunching the game, let the launcher download updates, and restart the game again.
If none of these things work, go to support.paradoxplaza.com and open a ticket. Customer Support will be able to help you troubleshoot this issue!
I don't have the last 4 DLC. Crashes for me every time starting a game. Followed the steps above and nothing.
Can you file a crash report for us, please? Open a ticket at http://support.paradoxplaza.com/
Why not? I see they have bought all the DLC, that is the important part.
So i already like them, and wish their issue gets resolved as fast as can. :)
It is obvious to everyone that there are problem that are not caused by mods. We all see that, every time there are patch notes accompanying a new patch, because listed right there are all of the non-mod-related problems that were found and fixed. That doesn't change the fact that trying to play the game with outdated mods will cause problems that Paradox cannot fix.
Pretending that all problems are things that only Paradox can correct is even worse than pretending that no problems are things that only Paradox can correct (if there is even anyone actually doing that, which I doubt).
So your contention is that Paradox is under no obligation to bug fix.
But honestly - just browsing a few pages of Stellaris forum show how rare are crash issues. In my personal experiece since 1.0 I never get a crash from vanila or mostly vanila game, only from heavy modded one.
to OP - I would also considered having a hardware issues. Run a few complex graphic tests for several hours and see if there will be any problems/crashes here.
Paradox cannot fix bugs in mods, only the author(s) can do that. Paradox should fix bugs in Stellaris. Reporting a bug to the wrong party is unproductive and forces that party to waste time and effort weeding out the problems that they can do nothing about. This is true when a bug in Stellaris is reported to a mod author, and it is also true when a bug in a mod is reported to Paradox. Therefore, if someone encounters a bug and wants it fixed as soon as possible, they should perform some basic troubleshooting and report the problem directly to the party capable of fixing it.
This train of logic seems self-evident to me, but I guess there is some factor that makes it less obvious to others. If there's some part of that which doesn't make sense, and someone points it out to me, I can try to clarify if that will be helpful.
What part of "I'm not using mods" do you not understand?
My response to you was about general philosophy, not the specifics of your particular situation. You didn't mention any particular problem you are encountering, so there would have been no way for me to comment about that unknown problem directly.
Anyone (including you) encountering a problem and not using mods (or who is using mods and has eliminated them as a possible cause), should report that problem on the Paradox web site as a bug so that they can get to work fixing it.
If someone (including you) instead opts to inject misinformation, insults, and hatred into threads involving a problem report without actually contributing to solving that problem, then I seriously question whether that person's actions are aligned with the forum's guidelines.
Sorry for the daley, but I did every thing you said and didnt work, I took some time because I tested my save on another computer and there its works fine, I finished the game there, now I made a new game and on the first war the game crashed again T.T
