REtirement ?
I normally play a race that starts with Venerable
because as a RP Rule my Leader is ... "ME" and once I die its GAME OVER....
so this RETIREMENT thing Ive read is annoying cause leaders retire through RNG ♥♥♥♥ and can still be very "young"

is this true?

I'd like to know as well. Longevity means nothing if, in a gameplay sense, leaders effectively die of 'retirement'.

Retirement is just a differently flavored version of leader death that replaces the death notification 70% of the time. They don't retire randomly.

So I don't say have to worry about

Admiral John Doe (Max Age: 290/Original Max Age:150) Retiring at age: 200 ?

As long as I keep their lifespan high theyll stick around?

Yes, he should be safe.

Of course it's always possible that there's a bug or an exception to the rule somewhere, but such a thing hasn't happened to me personally at least, and the game files are very clearly coded so retirement is just a re-flavor that happens after a death roll.
