Doesn't work for me, it spits me to desktop and I can't access the game anymore.
Paradox know about it - they've changed to DX11 which causes this problem.
I'm running DX12. Is that a problem?
Thanks, the borderless window setting seems to fix it.
Alt-Enter also sometimes work, but for the time being they've told us to change to window or borderless window.
The fact you're using DX12 won't matter in this case.
Edit: Try verifying the files if Stellaris starts playing up.
Nope. I play on borderless window, all buttons seem to be working except for Earth. If I click on it, the game crashes. The Alt workarounds don't work for me.
I did verify the integrity of the game files. That's all good.
Sorry I can't help you further.
Yeah I'm playing a save that I just saved earlier today. This was a very promising start with my brain slug scientists, good systems rich in materials and science, a relic world within grasp and I already gained a vassal.
But I'm gonna roll back. This update is awful. Just awful.
I had this issue and MrFreake_PDX answered, instructing as follows:
"In the launcher, go to Game Settings, and ensure that your resolution is set correctly. Also choose Borderless fullscreen or windowed mode.
Since we've also recently transitioned to DX11, you can try updating your drivers."
That fixed it for me. Works fine now. I didn't need to mess with DirectX as my system has DirectX12 and that is AFAIK backward compatible with DirectX11.
That problem has been fixed by now. I just can't access Earth because once I click it, the game crashes. There's probably a feature in there in the old save that the new update doesn't like.
And I want my brain slug leaders back!
How often do we have to tell you people that old saves are not going to work with full feature DLC releases? Roll back or deal with it. There is no fix.
Do you see this? 93 research bonus for society and engineering because of spark of genius + brain slug + specialty bonus. There's no way I'm gonna say goodbye to that. I was playing like this earlier today, and why should a dubious update spoil my very promising game.
This is the first time in my life that I resorted to a rogue version of a game I already own to rollback.
If anyone knows a legal way to roll back, please let me know.
