Toxic God Origin is ♥♥♥♥.
How is one suppose to beat back 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deficits right from the beginning with barely are resources to begin with and that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ situation draining all the energy?

It deserves a challenging origin warning for one of the most difficult but powerful origins in the game and definitely not for beginners.

I'm not even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beginner. I've just never tried it before until now and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on me. I haven't even given any toxic species a try. How does it even remotely make sense for them to have access to the Detox ascension perk and also not being able to inhabit toxic worlds? Why the hell would they want to detox anything!?! I can't comprehend the mind of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who was thought this up or the minds of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who allowed it to come to pass.

Yeah even the advertising for Toxiods is deceptive and a total disappointment about toxic worlds.

Detox is nothing more that a waste of an AP for the right to bankrupt yourself for a handful of worlds.

It's a bit finicky to get it working at first, but honestly should not pose much of a challenge if you're somewhat experienced with the economy. Once it gets rolling, it snowballs pretty well.

You start with Hydroponics Bays unlocked, so just build some starbases for food and energy. You can also make a pretty penny from your habitat if you take the Commerce tradition. It's honestly not very hard to deal with.

Nobody is forcing you to play it, it's called difficulty. If you want an easy game choose an easy start.

No, i disagree on this one. Toxic god origin really sucks at first, but that extra naval capacity from knights is amasing and absolutely worth it. You just make sure to not die in the first 30 years and sacrifice some science to build more fleets and than you pretty much offset all of the negatives. If you do it right you can even start some early wars and obtain vassals or just extra planets and pops. And you can make some crazy things in lategame by taking nihilistic acquisition and stacking these pops on habbitat (unfortunalety knights provide no more stability just amenities but you can maintain high stability anyway). At first you can think that just turn these pops into regular sciencist is better, but because of empire size and planetary ascension its really very effective to have half of your population on a single habbitat. And this knights also provide alloys buff and naval capacity so you ll become a real poverhouse in every way possible: fleet, sciense, alloys and unity. You just need some basic recourses and consumer goods but this is so easy to obtain in the lategame.

Just look for guides, you can't play this origin effectively with every build, but some specialized empires can overcome the starting debuffs. This origin works best with mega corporations and you can help yourself by adding The Relentless industrialist civic. Also anything that accelerates population growth

You know what "toxic god" stands for?

Make a trade megachurch and buy what you need early game. Kinda thematically fits with the origin as well, imo.

I'm damn sure not complaining about the naval capacity.

Certainly not. But it exists to be played and so I am trying. I will find a way even if it only makes sense to me.

I'm playing that preset empire though. Rototavuul High Suzerainty. I don't know if this origin gives two temples to a randomized empire but the RHS does start with two temples. I don't need a second so early so that freed up two specialists who just need to demote. If only that would happen quicker without having to get the tradition perk to speed it up.
