It adds over a hundred new planet modifiers, special planets, more digsites, more relics... Just to name a few things. It really helps make each planet feel more unique.
Why? Because it's required when using certain mods, also because it's better than vanilla.
-Plentiful Traditions 3.x- (requires several -UI Overhaul Dynamic- mods above it)
Why? Because having the same old Traditions is boring af, why not add dozens more to the existing ones?
-(-NSC2 Season 7-)-
Why? New Ship Classes!
-Kurogane Expanded (New)-
Why? Because i think the shipset is cool.
-Gigastructural Engineering & More (3.6)-
Why? Because it's a must-have unless i use -Alphamod 3.X- instead.
*FYI i listed this in mod-load-order btw.
**Works in previous version.....3.7.2?
Guilli`s Planet modifier and Features

Expanded Stellaris Ascension Perks
NSC2 Season 7
Expanded Ship Components
Starnet
UI Overhaul
the "AT war" Series
Gigastructural Engineering & More
Note that it does change the game quite a bit.
As for the rest I play with variation, my latest favourite is Zenith of a Fallen Empire.

So in unmodded Stellaris, you are "done" by the end of the first century. You have all the tech, the best ships, nothing really to do besides wiping out the Fallen Empires and waiting for the crisis. Or start a new game when you get bored.
But with this mod, you'll get to turn yourself into an "ascended empire", gradually unlocking Fallen Empire tech, and piece by piece even much better stuff. So when the gameplay is normally exhausted, it has merely just begun with this mod.
You can also install the Sandbox submod, play one of the FE origins. Ringworld Empire is pretty cool if you like to skip all the slow early game routine.
