thank you this is what i am trying to do figure out how to build more elsewhere; i have the platforms on my home starbase; seems to me it will to have them on my borders too especially if i know they don't like me already in the next "system"
so i assume it will take the same amount of time to eventually upgrade another outpost into a 'starbase'
my shipyard ... i have 3 defense platforms already built there
okay i think i got it now ... i just clicked on the starbase and began pumping out a platform there on my border ...i didnt realize a starbase was there where ever i had set up outposts ...thanks for the help
But, that's a strategy issue and it seems like you're struggling with technical issues - just figuring out how the different parts of the game work. An outpost has 3 defense platform slots. The game I have running right now, my starting starbase has 6 defense platform slots. There are things you can do to increase the number of platforms that starbases can support. But they're basically ships that can't move. So, again, I wouldn't really build them until I've reached the limit of ships that CAN move, since a ship that can move is worth a lot more than one that can't.
can i change the armaments and shields there like on the ships or no?
this is cool thanks
