Why Build Stealth Battleships?
Why would I need to make a fleet of stealth battleships when I can just steamroll with them anyway?

I mean it would be funny to pull it off, and there IS a way if you really wanted to: Dark Matter Cloaking from conquering a Fallen Empire for a base 1 Stealth, +2 for the Enigmatic Engineering Ascension Perk, +1 or 2 for having a Trickster Admiral +1 for completing the Subterfuge Tradition. You could, in theory, have Battleships with 5 stealth...but again, WHY?

Just to be funny?

Because stealth is cool?

Presumably you'd do it to sneak around stealthily and not be seen.

If you turn up the crises difficulty and get the gray dessanu but want the l sector for yourself, then maybe you could do something really really funny. lol

because it's being tactical and if you steamroll that means the game is to easy turn up the difficulty or change your playstyle. I do imagine cloaking is a big thing in pvp ( which i never play).

Stealth by battleship is when there's no one left to report your war crimes.

Stealth battleships would be best at defending your own territory, to make it look like a starbase is far less well defended than it currently is.
