It's a loose knock-off of the "VGR Probe" from the original Star Trek movie. Some mechanical entity that moves around seeking something and causing incidental havoc in its wake.

i literally just encountered VLUUR before posting this and looking them up didn't show anything about VLUUR then what i already knew. End of discussion

Just for you to know : If the wiki has no info of any sort about something it does either have NO CONTEND to it OR is just there and gets ignored by everyone. MAYBE some destroy it for that dark matter, but most ignore it. Not everything in Stellaris has a meaning to it ya know? Also, if you want info and detailed stuff about Stellaris i suggest you watch Aspec on youtube. Dude literarely has "uncovering everything in stellaris" as a hobby. If he hasnt a vid on something, its unimportant and can be ignored.
