also someone in the comments pointed out the team that made master of orion were involved, so they've done 4X before, and obviously paradox have done grand strategy, so it has potential.
personally i'm really worried about replay value, if it's fully based on star trek, will it have random maps or the same map every time?? the same 4 (maybe 5, we better be able to play borg) empires??
is star trek online still a thing btw?
also RIP stellaris 2 until 2035 at least, and probably EOL stellaris 1 around the time this comes out?
Yeah technically this thread is not about stellaris but game is similar to. The features have not been announced yet.
Yet, if that Star Trek game itself could be modded...
While the trailer shows 4/5 of the original races in BotF, I suspect or hope the last one will be added eventually.
My only concern comes to Space Combat: Will it bust like BotF did or be passive like Stellaris or be like ye olde MOO2 (please be so).
