Play the base game while it's free, and don't double down on DLC until you have played through to the end of a game. That's where Stellaris becomes a micro nightmare, and frankly a bit of a drag to finish off.
But the learning curve isn't as bad as people make out, and yes there are too many DLC's that do to little for the price they cost. Let's face it the base game is less than some DLC at the moment
In most cases if you're loving 4X games and space - yes. There are a few better games in that niche but they're MUCH more complex and until recent were less pretty.
"There are a few better games"
Which games?
Terra Invicta (aka Aurora 4X with graphics)
Aurora 4X (no graphics. seriously - no)
But be warned - they will eat your sanity like there is no tomorrow :)
Thank you
they wont do this
