worth paying for all? and Its worth playing?
I played eu4 and CK3 to make it clear

I heard a ♥♥♥♥-ton of good things about this game (very customizable, interesting mechanics, micro -management,etc) but also bad things (The dlcs,The learn curve, etc)

IS WORTH BUYING EVERYTHING?

(Idk if is should put this here, but im planning to buy the ultimate edition with limited resources and i really want to know if is worth the price)

It's not worth buying everything. There are a few stinker DLCs, or ones only of particular interest to certain playstyles. It is worth buying.

The learning curve is pretty nominal. Particularly in comparison to other space 4Xes with some murderously difficult ones. Stellaris isn't hard; there's just a lot to it. If you want to max out every subsystem, it's tough to do. You do not need to play it that way.

Sort of like CK, I find that the people who have the most fun with Stellaris get into the RP aspect of it. Like there are better 4X out there, but the different abilities and what not tend to feel like window dressing, whereas in this game, you can say things like what would it be like to play radically democratic lithovores or what if xenomorphs found religion and feel like the game is out there to help you enable that play.

It's a free weekend. Absolutely do not invest hundreds of dollars in this game before trying it out.

Yeah absolutely this, there is the Steam Summer Sale coming up, and surely It will go on sale again, so it's not your last chance to pick it up cheap.

Play the base game while it's free, and don't double down on DLC until you have played through to the end of a game. That's where Stellaris becomes a micro nightmare, and frankly a bit of a drag to finish off.

But the learning curve isn't as bad as people make out, and yes there are too many DLC's that do to little for the price they cost. Let's face it the base game is less than some DLC at the moment

It depend.

In most cases if you're loving 4X games and space - yes. There are a few better games in that niche but they're MUCH more complex and until recent were less pretty.
STELLARIS: STARTER PACK BUNDLE 2023 worth starting off with this pack 35$ or just get the base game for 9$? i know its a free weekend lol but sale ends same time.

It depends, players like me love this game, but I will not recommend the game to you in the off case you really hate it. All you need to know is the xenos will purge you a lot before you figure it out.
Keep in mind casual gamer here, just figure the need for the many many DLCS or are Key one's I should get instead.

"There are a few better games"
Which games?

As a way-more-casual Stellaris player myself, the Starter Pack has been more than enough for me. Plus, if you know someone who has the DLC, if you play with them, you get to try out the stuff they own. This won't be the last time our stuff goes on sale, promise. :)

Distant Worlds: Universe (still unsure about second part but could try it instead)
Terra Invicta (aka Aurora 4X with graphics)
Aurora 4X (no graphics. seriously - no)

But be warned - they will eat your sanity like there is no tomorrow :)

Mate EU4 was my favorite, probably still is, clocked 3-4-5k hours on it, and before getting this I thought Stellaris is not for my taste. Turns out it very is :)) Love it.

what is better banana or apple ? this is question of this type it deponds
rubish 1 Jun 23, 2023 @ 12:51am
there is really not a large learning curve youll be fine its a decent game
honestly, I'd wait for them to put Stellaris on the subscription service. I'm sure it'll happen eventually. If you dont want to wait and dont mind putting down the cash I'd say just get all the main xpacs and story packs and then just pick and choose which species packs you think youd like
