Tbh this dlc is just stupid
I wanna get the game but i dont wanna pay half the price of a PS5 just to get this game (the base game in these paradox games are the most barebones ive ever seen, ive experienced it with EU4 and HOI4 it feels like an early alpha build of a game) THE FULL GAME is base with all the dlcs or aka, i have to pay for 25% of the game each.

Its just ridiculous, It looks like a good game, but ill never get the opportunity to actually play it. And also subscription services are never going to satisfy me because i don't actually own it in my library if i stop paying for it. I know i dont fully own my games on steam but ffs actually paying per month instead of a one time payment is just a godawful way to say "Yeah our game has a bunch of dlcs that no one would actually buy unless they are either stupid or have tons of money laying around that they throw on supreme every day.

I hate every paradox game doing this. Having good games but being so greedy that ill never get the chance to actually experience them because of their greedy tactics. They are never going to change, Ever. So honestly i dont know why im ranting at this point. Even sales it only gets reduced down to 120 dollars which is still a pretty bit stretch for a game that was released 7 years ago.

And the most painful thing about it, Only a few people are talking about this every other year or so, No one wants an actual change on this, either because they have bought that game already or what not. I find it pretty sad, people arent actually making this a big deal.

What happened to actual game devs that put the base game first... and DLC later instead of making this bullcrap. trying to leave the base game as barebones as possible so people just download the dlc to make it better. or aka paying an additional 175 dollars.

Its happened with Europa universalis 4, Hearts of Iron 4, Crusader Kings 2, Crusader kings 3 (Which its slowly starting to get more expensive dlcs), City Skylines and then there is stellaris too.

The only games not effected by Paradox is Victoria 2 (but im stretching that quite alot), Victoria 3 and their much older games.

There is actually more dlc than their entire game library (DLC: 164, Games: 19).

Okay so on a ending note, lets say you wanted to download Europa universalis or Well buy it.
the base game is £35 (£42), this game is from 2013. and it costs just as much as Sonic frontiers. But hey ill give them the benefit of the doubt here and move on.

Their dlcs im going to count the cosmetic packs too. So, that costs £359 ($431.12). So if we actually put that into perspective that is 925% increase, or we are paying for 10 copies of the base game just to get all the dlcs And you know whats more insulting?

Most of these DLCS should of been in the base game, but Paradox chose for them to be DLCS.

Ill still play paradox's Games (The ones ive bought already). But ill never buy a single DLC or game from them again with this garbage DLC scheme. It would actually be more of a scam if Steam didnt have a refund policy.

Im done with this goofy ass company

And that's why we have free will, we can CHOOSE to buy it.
Here are some solutions for you:

1. Get a job that pays decently, even flipping burgers would do to pay everything full price without a worry in the world. I'm not money savvy but I have a decent tradie job that pays me well so I mostly purchase games at full price without caring. Got no responsibilities besides the bills/vehicle rego.

2. crack/pirate the game (which many people do before purchasing a game but risky and could possibly lead to a law suit/etc if you're not carefully prepared to torrent)

3. Wait for a massive "Paradox" sale, which is the LEGIT money saving way

4. Buy keys from game key websites at a fraction of the full price. (Examples: A DLC costs $20 bucks or more, on a key site it would cost $5 - $10. I do not condone it and there's a fat chance you get scammed/ripped off if you don't know what you're doing or what merchants to look out for) Not LEGIT money saving way

5. Forget the game, move on, and find a replacement that's cheaper and has modding available.
You can find a list of paradox authorised stores where you can get dlcs already 20-30% off at launch, or later 60-70% off when steam caps at 50%.
Oh yeah forgot about those haha, pretty sure "Humblebundle" is one of them

Yeah, but it's quite down the list of cheapest stores.
