Machine Worlds
It's been a couple of years since I've played and I've been enjoying discovering all the new additions.
I do need one piece of advice though, how do you deal with a machine world? I have zero pops than can inhabit it and it has over forty pops to be purged. This of course leads to the inevitable rebellion, with options that do nothing because you have no population on the planet other than those being purged.
Thinking very little of this I just landed a garrison army there and continued on freeing the galaxy of these machines.
Then of course the planet rebels, no fight with ground forces just rebels and puts my garrison force into limbo and spawns a 10k fleet and takes half the systems i had just conquered with them.
I'm late early game and I have about 20k across three fleets and control 84 systems with 30 planets. Lets set aside how unrealistic it is that they spawn a fleet that size and you don't get to fight the rebellion army.
What is the best way to deal with machine worlds without the tech or pops to occupy/terraform them?

My solution was to simply kill the rebel fleet, occupy the rebel systems otherwise they become vacant space when the rebellion ends for some reason and then capture the planet. Finally I shipped all the rebels to a penal colony to be disassembled which solved the issue and now i just need to build some robots to populate the planet.

Any better solutions to prevent the rebellion in the first place?

Shipping them to other planets is the best choice.
On the other hand... how do you have 30 planets and only 20k fleet.

Yeah.....that's what i did
Still early game, rapid expansion, eradicated another empire and those planets have very little pops but my fleet is twice the size of my nearest rival

I know, I was just reinforcing it.
Unless you had synths of course, then you could send those in.

"I declare exterminatus upon the Abominable Intelligence world of Beep Boop No Bots Here. I hereby sign the Death Warrant of an entire world, and consign no souls to oblivion because robots don't have souls."

Maybe I'm missing something but why would purging a Machine World lead to a rebellion? Machines are not affected by happiness, so a planet that has nothing but Machines that are being purged should be sitting at a flat 50 Stability baseline.

i'd just seal it for eternity in an unbreakable stasis field.
