Does planet type determine the distribution of districts on a planet?
question in title. I haven't found much recently on what determines the type of districts a planet has.

Everything is RNG so you could get really awesome farming in an alpine world.

It is as Majikero mentioned.

But to explain it further: Wet planets (Continental, Ocean & Tropical) has a higher % to get more food since those planet types have more possible food generating planetary features. Dry (Arid, Desert & Savanna) has more possible energy generating planetary features. Frozen (Alpine, Arctic & Tundra) has more possible mineral generating planetary features.
