Is it possible to uncolonize/unhibit a planet?
Hi,

I made a fault. I colonized a planet with humans which has only habitability of 10% for humans.
Can I uncolonize this planet?

Bye
Andreas

You can force resettle everyone on the planet, which makes the planet uncolonized, yes. Or if your empire supports migration, those humans will move to a planet they like more over time by themselves.

or you can genetically modify them, starting new lineage of 'humans'

As Mansen says force resettle is the only option but there really should be a basic 'abandon planet' option for some nominal cost or loss of influence, or maybe the pops who are there get automatically changed to ones with ethos that opposes the primary species when they resettle elsewhere

Resettlement policy is not allowed. Migration is also probited and I don't want to allow this because in my last game my POPs are migrating without any sense. I enabled the "Land of Opportunity" edict, which will set the migration attraction to 100%. Will this still work when the migration policy is not set or should I enable the migration policy?

How can I genetically modify my POPs?

Or you could remind your people who's in charge and purge the planet :P

Ok, I found how to modify a species but I don't have the Gene Tailoring technology and it is only possible to do this for the species. I don't want to modify my own species.

So only migration and resettlement is a possible solution. I enabled the migration policy and I enabled the "Land of Opportunity" edict but after 10 years no POP migrated. They have only 10% happiness but don't want to migrate. :-(

you can uplift a primative species and then modify them using the gene tailoring.

The downside is honestly there isnt enough genetic points to do anything meaningful... but it will get you the achievement without screwing with your "perfect race"

You could also do what I've seen a few computer factions do, and fill the planet up with robot populations except for the original settler. Eventually they'll migrate to greener pastures, and you've got a planet of robots.

@Almost_Psychic: I wanted to be "good" but in this game I believe it is better to be "bad". Allow slavery, allow purge, allow full orbital bombardment, allow resettlement and dictatorship is better than democracy

Robots are a good idea

Wait, did you enable "Land of Opportunity" on that planet or a different planet?
ako3 May 31, 2016 @ 5:35am
On that planet I want to migrate away from
Sathra May 31, 2016 @ 5:40am
LOP edict increases 'migration magnet power' for the planet its declared on.

If you want them to migrate away FROM a planet, you need to set it on a different planet with habitability good for the target species. Planet also needs to have free tiles.

If you declared it on the 10% hab planet you were basically starting a campaign to "Migrate to Ultimus VII, where its winter all the time and smells of ammonia! Bring the whole family! Housing and jobs for all who arrive!"
Not gonna get many takers for that one...

Uups. My fault. Thanks
Almost Psychic May 31, 2016 @ 5:47am
I onced purged a planet because they were all collectivist instead of fanatic collectivist. And I enslave everyone that has a problem with the way I run things. Empires are the way to go.
