Is There A Fast Way To Build A Lot Of Ships?
Atm i am 100 years into a game with 3 vassals that have a combined fleet which is equal to mine which is 3x more then the #2 which is one of my vassals.

Now i have 5 sectors and basically half the map under my control against 40 insane ais with 1000 stars and 500+ minerals and 300+ energy per month and i realized something.

I am only half my force limit and i can raise that limit by 70% with a goverment change and the grand fleet edict but i cant build worth ♥♥♥♥.

I mean i build one cruiser at -60% cost every 180 days on 5 planets and a time but i make so much that filling my navel capacity is almost impossible.

So how do i build a lot of ships quickly cause i already maxed 5 massive sectors with 4250 energy and 15000 minerals each and they dont have anymore upgrade so this is basically the only way to spend my res now.

That and only 5 ships at a time kinda sucks.

Btw are there any like universe events that could put a dent in my fleet atm because i can war 30+ ais atm and still win i think.

5 planets is just way too little for your core sector.

You can still build ships at sector spacepots.

Nothing aside from a shipyard module will speed up the building of ships. But you can build ships at multiple spaceports at the same time.

So instead of queueing up 5 battleships at one spaceport which takes about 5 years, build 1 each at 5 spaceports.

EDIT: The maximum fleet capacity you can have without penalties is 1000. You can go over that, so it's not a hard limit, but your ship maintainance will increase by a few % for every point you go over so it gets very expensive.

to be honest, can anything really pose a challenge to you at this point

I can easily support 1000 navel capacity.

Just with spaceports on all my planets and no navel bonus's i have 800 and my cruisers cost less then 2x what a destroyer costs so swarm cruisers is a thing :D

I found it really dissapointing how easy the insane ais are.

Never lost a war and i expanded so fast that i secured 60 planets near the center where i spawned.

Personally i wanted to go for annexing the fallen empires next and then when maxed purge abouttttt 400 pops in the areas my vassals own when i get them.

The blue guy to the bottom was the #2 who is now my vassal but not before he killed 60% of my fleet lol.

And the grey under him is my vassal and so is the purple to my left.

Everyone below me was my vassal till a year ago when i released like 4 or 5 of the small ones because i just didnt wanna see a million allied fleets everywhere.

It was dissapoinging how much of a pushover this was >.> i was hoping that 40 insane ais would be more of a challenge.

Even now as is i only have like 40k in fleet and i still dwarf everyone -.-

You are 100 years in and able to support 516 naval size? What mods are you using?
Sathra May 29, 2016 @ 9:02pm
60 colonies. That explains it pretty well.
Spirit May 29, 2016 @ 9:20pm
spaceports + some reserch options = 600+ navel cap (and these 60 worlds of course"
Emerson May 29, 2016 @ 10:02pm
Oh shot, I have never reached 60 planets in any of my games.
Emerson May 29, 2016 @ 10:05pm
But wait, 60 planets and about 200 science across all three fields? I had 9 planets once and reached high 200's.
Sohei May 29, 2016 @ 10:07pm
Use the planet list to click on each one with a station and put a few ships in each build queue. Then you just have to order them all to rally up somewhere. Most stations can probably only build corvettes so use the built up stations to focus on building the bigger ships.

Never used mods in any of my games >.> i wall off a section of the map with colonys and frontier bases and then colonize everything in it. I also send 4 science ships to move from star to star in like a 10 - 20 star radius around my homeworld so i know what direction gives the most planets with the least trouble from others before it hits 2210 and then i just colonize. I always gets a massive number of worlds even though i only play insane ais where they all have advanced starts.

I didnt make a single science building so its all from stations >.> the science buildings never seemed to generate enough science to actually do anything so i was just waiting for the max lab levels plus insane ais always have overwhelming tech advantages anyway so i just get my war techs from their fleets. Also the science option for sectors dont do ♥♥♥♥ so ive just generally ignored it and did a pure war path kinda policy once i had a decent production. I found that even the base nuclear missles can kill fallen fleets if you have the amount of ships i normally do lol.

Every station on every planet in every sector can make cruisers lmao. 500+ minerals a month totally maxed every planet.

Also i have come up with just unsectoring a bunch of high planet systems so i can build 20+ at once so it solves my problem although the whole insane negative modifier kinda sucks which is why im happy that my fleet has like a 60% maintence reduction around my homeworld lol.

I cant really find anyway to build ships fast enough that dont take decades besides this which is dissapoiinting.

Makes me wish you could build space shipyards that while slower you could build like 100 in a system so you could basically insta an armada.

how do you have 16 core worlds capacity only 100 years into the game when the most you can have from government I believe is +2 or 3 meaning 8 and the research required for them scales up quickly based on pops that you obviously (should) have being 15/16 worlds... seems legit?

Also why is your production so horrendously garbage and your fleet capacity for that many planets as well? +5 EC with 15 worlds but only 200 fleet capacity? if EC was going into space stations then shouldn't your minerals and science reflect that amount of power drain? ie you should have more then only +300 a month?

Some of those screenshots sceam mod/console play to me. No way you got that in ironman, considering I tend to pick the +core planet option everytime it's available to research and my production is a minimum 3x yours across the board with only 9 core worlds 150 years in (started with 5)...

The most Core planets I've ever had is like 20 and that was after about 400 years in game with research and simply picking it between 5% upgrades... also it cost about 200k social points each... Unless you aren't using sectors?... and have no population to even benefit from the worlds... then I can understand the low cost... but also see it as utterly pointless when your production is so horrendous from that many worlds

You should have pointed out that you're talking to HellFalcon.

And Max Core from gov is +4,

You should not have to take them out of sectors to build ships. Try it.

It would be nice to have some kind of way to place an order for a desired fleet and then let the AI figure out where to build them and put the fleet together for you.
