Stellaris vs Sins of a solar empire rebellion?
Title. I know sins has better combat, and stellaris is more of a grand strategy than an RTS game. But which one is the better game?

Why would you even bother asking this question? It is a complete opinion based question. They both appeal to different 4x players.
They are both good in their own department... Really, these two games are, beside both being space themed, not really well comparable.
I Like both games, but Stellaris I like more. I feel better atmoshere from Stellaris :steamhappy: I am looking forward to Stellaris 2 with all around planet view as it is in solar empire. :))

why dont you just shut the ♥♥♥♥ up?
You can compare Stellaris with Distant Worlds, but not with Sins of Solar empire.

The game is not even done yet and you are looking for the sequal? I thought you would want Stellaris finished first before a sequal is coming. I hate to see a sequal right now that the sad state Stellaris is in.

Yes Stellaris is a good game but I believe it's not a finished game. Too much seems missing and I am looking forward to the DLC to flesh it out more first before a sequal comes.
i wish Stellaris would be more like Sins of Solar Empire :steamsad:

They're barely in the same genre, though? Sins is more like a space RTS whereas Stellaris is more like a grand strategy game. In Sins, combat is the entire point of the game whereas Stellaris has combat as merely a tool. I really not have Stellaris not turn into a rather basic RTS like Sins.

Do you mean Stellaris is better made than Sins, or are you claiming the game whose entire concept revolves around making a bigger fleet than the AI and then just attacking anything that moves is better designed? That's not even getting into Sins balance issues with the flagships. (I remember often just building a carrier and sending it to clear out system after system.)

Stellaris is, by far, a better made strategy game than Sins. Especially seeing as how it doesn't have a mindless obsession with constant war.

You digress... just better made. Think better manafactured if it helps.

Also you obvviously haven't played lot of mp in Sins judging by the above comment.

If a game can't stand on it's own in single player, that's a serious flaw in my opinion.

Stellaris has terrific single-player. Sins's single-player is mediocre at best.

Thats a personal preference but SoaSE was more targeted to mp and campaign designing from starters.

Then it's a bit ingenuous to compare the two as Stellaris is more targetted towards single player.

Agreed, two completely different games. But then again that was the OPs query...
