Mining Network or Mineral Processing Plant?
Hi, i'm a new player on Stellaris and i played something like 20/25 hours.

And after all this time one question hit my head:"It's worth to substitute part or all your Mining Network for Mineral Processing Plant?" Same question goes for Power Plant and Power Hub.

I mean the +10% and +15% is really great. So i think to build at least one of them per planet.

And last but not least:"The 10/15% bonus will stack if i build more on the same planet?"
I think probably yes, but i really don't know and i don't know if it's actually worth to lose +8 Minerals at Max Level for a +3 and +15% and a +8 Energy at Max Level for a +6 and +15%.

I hope you will understand what my problem is since my english is not too good. And if you have any good advice for me please help me in this incredible hard mistery that's keeping me awake every night.

you can only build one per planet

Power Hub and Mineral Processing Plant are limited to one per planet.
Just do the math. If your total mineral income is high enough so that 10% is more than 1 mine go for it.
In the end it doesn't really matter. Minerals are not the deciding factor late game.

If you can afford it, a mineral processing plant is usually a good idea. They produce minerals like a mine, and also boost the total mineral production of the planet. Downside is they cost more to build.

If the planet has very few other mines, it might not be worth it.

Same with power hub.

You cannot build more than one of these on each planet.

you can only build one processing plant / hub per planet , also the 15% bonus is planetary , wich means you ll increase by 15% the production of that planet , even if you could build more than one you d have say 100% increase of nothing , theyre definetely worth building both of them , i usually put mine over a unused hydroponics farm or empty title ( without resources )

You can only build 1 of each per planet. They are "planet unique". The bonus is worth it, but only on larger planets. Any planets below about 11 tiles, and the return you get with higher level mines/powerplants is much more than the bonus the processing/hub offer, especially if your pops are happy or joyful

edit: What I'd like to see is adjacency bonuses for the hub and processing plant - like with the higer level planetary admins - it kind of makes sense, and would add another layer of strategy to using the planet tiles...rather than just building buildings to exploit each indivdual resource on the tiles without any higher meaning

I build processing on planets that produce minerals for me.. Power hubs on planets that produce power.... As far as i know, you can only build one per planet. I know in my game , which is Vanilla, one per is the rule...

If you plan on putting more than one mining network/power plant on a planet, you always want a processing plant/power hub. They provide the same amount of resources (5 minerals/6 power) plus the bonus %. The only exception would be the planet where your empire capital complex is located (usually your home planet), which can use the highest level of buildings, and then you will need a couple of each to make up for the loss by using one of these.

Let's do the math:
LVL 1 mine produce 2 minerals, processing plant produce 2 minerals and 10% for all minerals, always good
LVL 2 mine produce 3 minerals, so the 10% of the plants have to compensate (eg: you need 10 total production, to be better)
LVL 3 mine produce 4 minerals, so you need 20 total production to compensate for the 2 loss
LVL 4 mine produce 5 minerals, but we should compare lvl 2 plant for this, so 15% should compenstae for 2 loss, wich means around 14 total mineral income.
LVL 5 mine produce 8 minerals, so we need 5 to gain by the plant, or around 50 total mineral income

For energy the numebrs are even better, so unless you have a small planet with lvl 5 mines or energy plant, the booster bulding will be usefull.

Didn't know that they where limited to one for planet! Thanks to all for the reply!

P.S.: i did the math and calculation, but i didn't know how many you can build andi if it was worth it. Well now i know! XD
