Preventing the AI rebelion
So my question is, if i give the AI in my empire (the mighty Greater Ulm) equal rights and allow them to become leaders will that stop the AI rebelion in my nation and stop them from joining the AI rebelion should it happen in another Empire?

Stop it starting in your nation.

Will not stop them joining it.

basicly imagine when the rebellion starts they upload a computer virus to get other AI to join them.

Funny fact, there is a 'play as robots' mod. If you choose your race to be synthetic robots, your empire won't be affected :P

Looking at the event file, granting citizenship to your synths seems to drop the base chance of your synths rebelling from 10% to 5%, and reduces the penalty for having a lot of synths (if you have sixteen or more synths you have a 75% chance of rebellion if they're in servitude but only 33% if they have equal rights).
So getting AI in your nation is always practically suicide?
Since if it dosent happen for me it probably will for one of the idiot bot empires.

33% is still pretty massive

Not really... AI rebellion is easily stomped out. they are mostly harmless... mostly.

Then maybe massive rolling out artificially sentient machines should be delayed until you have time to work out the kinks.
My dream of a nation where AI and people live in total harmony is ruined </3
Also if the leader of my nation is an AI, why would the AI rebel in my nation?

There is actually an event ingame where you can get your synths to promsie never to *start* a rebellion, in exchange you can never ever take away their rights or dismantle them.

Just sit with four of them with full rights until you get an event or another crisis starts. There will be a 5% chance for them to rise up in revolt, a 95% chance you'll reach an accord with them and can then make synths with no more fear, and if another crisis triggers first you're safe from the AI rebellion.

But they would still join the rebelion if it happens elsewhere and spreads to my nation, wont it?

yup
What if i replace all or most organics in my empire with AI? Will that do anything? Why would they revolt if everyone in power is also AI?
Ardith Prime May 20, 2016 @ 1:18pm
then you basicly hand them a FREE WIN
