Does it ever end? I've researching the same technology for 6 or 7 times and nothing new...

Its possible that you have researched every technology avaible to you, at which point only repeatable techs can be researched

You have not been researching the same technology, rather you have been researching the "improvement" technology which are generated and improve existing tech. New techs are generated when you've researched all of the unique techs.

nope. Never (i have use the console command to see how long it takes) after 259 times compleet the research i stop...... There is no end. My empire ring was so big that it covert more than 500 planets. However after 100 tims to compleet uhm armor booster there was a loonly research (i think rare mineral descovery card). So the asnwer so far is no end.

I would love to see someone having researched ship upgrades so much to where a single corvette could take out battleships. XD

doesnt make sense.. Now my buildings are finished instantly because of having researched a repeatable tech making consruction time -5 shorter

think about it, your empire is probably strong enough to just drop prefabricated buidlings from orbit, maybe even 3d printed in your space port, if you already get only repeating tech you are in late game

Prefabricated structure, highly reproductible coral as infrastructure with incrediby powerful fertilizer, fully automated assembly line with a high percentage of material 3D printed, nano-bot swarms to assemble whatever wherever, Relative-Intelligence assisted installation of workers, and there you go : a fully fonctionning building in mere hours. Research counts.
