So How Do You Kill Planets?
Gotta be honest here and say i never take slaves or other race pops in any game.

To much of a hassle with their negatives so i just nuke it and recolonize.

But none of my ships can hit the planet and my transports dont have anything to hold troops meaning i cant do anything -.-

Atm im playing on insane with 1000 stars and 40 ais and i have never lost a war :D

Actually i found it way to easy and now i capped out all the planets i colonized up to others boarders and wanted to start making entire empires extinct but i hit this problem -.-

So heres the question >.> how do i wipe out all life on a planet?

Resources to remake dont matter since atm with my sectors maxed i make like 500 minerals a month and everything i have is basically maxed.

Although suprisingly the ais techs on insane is insane since they always have an overwhemling tech advantage over me but apparently that doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥ againt my fleet of 200 ships with missiles lol.

Heres my game atm.

Im the terran empire.

The normal human races sounded to peaceful.

I will admit that researching the destroyed fleets does a huge amount to catch up on techs though.

Also atm my research is godly bad since its taking like 50 months per tech and i dont really see any way for me to get more tech points.

You cannot destroy planets, you can depopulate it's population but you can't destroy the planet itself.

Nice empire. You can increase your tech points by eliminating extra food on planets that are full of pops, and replacing the farms with labs and such. You should be around 100/100/100 at your current time.

You can't currently nuke planets but you can purge the planet and it will be abandoned. You have to own it though.

Well, if you do full bombardement, for long enough, you'll eventually destroy everything including the pops, and it'll put 'bombed terrain' blockers. So you can tecnically destroy everything on the planet given enough time and strong enough fleet. Once the last pop dies, the planet is 'abandoned'

Interesting. I never stuck around that long on full bombardment. Thanks!

I could be wrong, so someone correct me if I am, but currently there's no War Goal to do that, (unless you use a mod, there is at least 1 that gives more War Goal types, and I think 1 of them is abandon planet). I believe they are adding stuff like that as War Goals in either the 1.1 or 1.2 patch, can't remember which it said.

Problem is i cant find what weapons do that.

I dont even get the option to attack the planet with any of my ships fleets -.-

Also i only have the medium bombardment option >.> yay for not knowing ethics mattered...

On the plus side though i started with +25% happiness modifier so i have never had a revolt and all my planets are at 100% without any buildings.

Collectivist or xenophobes can purge. Collectivest can purge same species also. I personally play as spiritual xenphobe military. The spiritual part really gives me a 40k imperium vibe. Under that governent I can purge. I usally relocate pops then purge the xenos. If i can't habitate sometimes i'll place hold with robots.

If you're ok with not exterminating and just want to disolve the empires, you should just make your wargoal to liberate. If the dude your targeting is a rivial, they'll declare war before the 10 year period is up, and since liberated planet is it's own little thing, you can pick them off at whim.
