Habitability % confusing...
When I look at planets, it usually says that the planet is around 60 - 90% habitable no matter the planet, arid, tundra, arctic, oyu name it, which pleased me very well. But then, I noticed my pops only had 10% max happyness, I had no idea why it was like that, a few hours later and countless more hours into the game I noticed the % shown on the planet screen shows the habitability for the species in your empire the planet is most suited for, it baffled me because I assumed it would show the primary species habitability, but nope, I have to hower over it.

Now, that wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that it is tedious and such a chore to have to open the planet tab every time you're sending a colonist away when lookign for a planet to colonize rather than just having to hower over the name of the planet in the galaxy view...

A little toggle that shows habitability for X species in your empire would be nice. Put it at the bottom right with map view

Tbh, this game needs actual mapmodes, like a way to toggle on and off sectors, showing demographics etc...

Thats a GUI issue with a lot of elements, Happiness, Habitability, Wreckage modules and so on. It would be nice to be able to right click it and get a window.

Yeah, either they didn't have enough time, or were scared that it would be too much information for the playerbase(as they were trying to attract more people).

I've noticed that the problem seems to be once you have mixed races in your empire. It'll show the best habitability if you choose the right race to colonize with, not necessarily your primary.

If you hover over the habitability percentage for a few seconds it shows you what race has what habitability on that planet.

Ik, but as I explained, that is quite tedious and time consuming.

It is tedious, but its less time consuming then clicking it to open and scroll through another window. There is also a limit to how much screen space can be devoted to each bit of information. instead of a mousover, which have a tendancy to not trigger, it would be a good fix to be able to click it and have it expand since clicking the habitability box doesn't perform a function anyway.

My biggest confusion on habitability is that Robots have 200% habitability but the mouse over pop up usualy says they have 5%.

If you have high ethics divergence, they will usually evolve to suite that planet anyway after around 10-15 years. For example I had 4 ice planets I invaded, and my people hated living there. After leaving them alone for a while I recieved a notification that they had became their own subspecies that prefers ice worlds!

I'm not saying they should add more screens etc etc, I'm just saying it should show the habitability of your primary species.

Ethics divergence didn't cause it, it was as a result of a technology you had unlocked allowing gene manipulation
