Screenshots

Wah! I must be stupid!

I see all these beautiful screenshots on here - but all mine say "Screenshot Taken!" right in the middle of it. How do I keep it from doing that? I can't find any setting in Stellaris or in Steam that would be doing that.

This is the third time I've asked this question - and I have searched everywhere I can think of. There MUST be a way to turn it off - but I cannot seem to find it. Could someone please help me?

In Steam client there are some screenshot settings if you click "View" at the top left, then "Settings" at the bottom of that list, then "In-Game" and there are some settings like "Display Notification". That's about all I can think of that could be causing it, unless you have some other kind of software on your computer that takes screenshots.

Thanks for your reply. I do have that turned off already and I've noticed that the text seems to be in the Stellaris font - which makes me think it's the game and not Steam - and I *am* using Steam to take the screenshots. I changed it to F-11 because F-12 was bringing up the dev menu in Medieval Engineers - but that's the only thing I ever changed.

Yes I just checked in game and F11 is the key for the Stellaris client screenshot. You have bound your Steam screenshot to the same key as the Stellaris screenshot key, so the Stellaris notification is occuring as the Steam screenshot is being taken.

That was the problem! Thank you SO MUCH! I switched it back to F12 and it's gone! Such a simple thing - but I couldn't find out what all the key mappings were for Stellaris.
