Event: Mass Extinction Through the Ages...

Well not much i can do here, got 2 out of 5 survey done. The other three is on the other side of the arm galaxy and it wont let me jump over there. Noticed the path shows in red, guess i need to do some research to be able to go that far.

Since this event didnt say how long i have and if i dont do something soon, my home planet is doomed. Bad luck for me on this game. Just got this event not very long ago since i started playing a new game, like within five years i think.

Just got this myself on my latest playthrough. Nothing has come of it yet, but I have much more than my home planet. I will say that a lot of the big quests span farther than your reach, not to mention there's always potential for someone on the other side of the galaxy to spawn the unbidden or something equally nasty. I had to give up on a game cause of that one.

Mass extnction through the ages? So in addition to angry AI, monsters from beyond space and time and pissed off super civilizations they have reapers in the game too? XD

it is ok it is only a 10% happy rating for 20 year.
So nothing to write home about the reward.

Thats an issue with many of the starting quests in general, they are spread over such a wide area for a starting empire to get to, not to mention some spawn insude enemy territory, making them impossible to complete without a war. Oops.

What a crapy event. Reward was that all five systems I had to visit got surveyed. So yeah cool thanks.

I only got the game yesterday. But in order to complete this do I just have to survey planets with the descriptions in the log.

I only ever bother to complete this event when I'm running hyperlanes, so I can blitz the objectives with a science ship without dealing with border access from other empires.

The temporary happiness bonus is, I find, a pretty nice reward if it pushes your planets past the next happiness based production boost. +10% more production on my fledgling intergalactic purge engine? Yes please.

Yeah, I blitzed this event early on with hyperlanes and ships set to passive. Unfortunately not much we can do to complete events like this of you miss that early window, at least until the next update comes out. Asimov update gives you unrestricted border access to all ship types by default, unless an Empire chooses to close it's borders to you.
