How do i send ground force to enemy planets?

I have my entire fleet plus my allies babarding this planet. i keep having to wait for the a.i. empires to send ground troops. That can take forever. I try to click the "attack" but it says i have no ground troops in orbit. what I have an entire fleet surrounding the planet! It's basically a waiting game. wait until a.i. spawn ground troops so we can take over the planet.

I was able to control 2 planets, but the 3rd I can't. The ai. are bringing in troops slowly.

You can build your own ground troops you know, you don't need to wait for the AI

how do you do that?

Go to a colony or home planet, click Armies tab, recruit armies. Then Embark them onto a Transport. Then send them to the Target planet.

omg. I'm an idiot. I never relized that the "armies" tab existed. well, atleast on my home planet.
