Living Metal
I've managed to conquer a couple of ring worlds, and I've scanned them. I got the notification about Living Metal, but I can't find a way to mine it?
Any help? :steamfacepalm:

You gained a new tech to research. Once you research it, living metal will appear on the map.

Yeah like, I've done the research but my construction ship still insists I can't build a mining station or research station?

Its like the space kittens, it's a resource tile on a distract of one of the fallen empires ring worlds. You'll have to go through and check all the tile resources and destroy any building on that tile as they all cover the resource up.

Okay I have the very same problem. So I found the tile with living metal on it. The problem is how do I harvest it? It just lays there without doing anything and you can't build any kind of facility to pick it up and use it. What do I do?

So yeah, does anyone can give directions of how to harvest Living Metal since there is no dedicated building to harvest it?

i could harvest it with a mining station. It spawned like every other special ressource.

After taking over a intact ringworld, click on each tile and check what the default resources are on the tile. When you find one with living metal, simply destroy whatever building is occupying it. If it is inhabited by a population, with no building, you will get 1 unit of living metal added to your strategic resource pool. It's like when you first colonize a planet and new pop's appear on tiles without buildings - you will get one unit of power or food or mineral etc that the tile has by default.

This thread was quite helpful to me, I was playing with a ringworld home system using mods and found the living metal on my third section sweep. :fhappy:
