Custom Galaxy

Sorry if this has already been stated somewhere, but I couldnt find it. Where do you go or how do you make custom galaxies? Would appreciate a sticky on this please mixed with modding advice that i found on the news articles.

You can look at the wiki on modding, and there are also some useful post on the Paradox forum, but you need to register to access it. There's a Star Wars map mod on that forum which provides a good template for how to set up custom maps, although you do have to figure out how it all fits together.
