Federation cannot invite other empires ?

Is it true that you cannot invite other empires when you have formed a federation ? And yeah i am the current president, so i can declare war on other but i cannot invite them ?

Yeah, I have the exact same issue. I have the tech for federations, the empire I'm trying to invite is not in any other alliance, is friendly, is not at war, is literally called a "federation builder" and yet there isn't even the option to invite them to the federation.

The funny part is that I swear I had the option for a bit, but then I saved and quit for the night (we formed the federation in the aftermath of a big war) and then when I loaded it back up, the option just... wasn't there.

I don't know who the federation president is right now because I don't know how to check that. I can't find any "federation" screen anywhere!

I usually find that new additions are blocked by your other allies voting against that empire joining.

Sorry, but you are wrong. I have run a few games and have invited factions to my federation after it was formed. I have screenshots on my profile that show my 8 faction federation, 2 of those empires joined AFTER it was formed.

The empire you want to invite and your federation MUST be at peace and you MUST be the faction president. The other members must also agree to let them join.

It's pretty simple to find. The icon in the bottom right that has the five stars, click it. Amazing.

I know that all. Damn you cannot you read ? they are at peace and so on ... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I found out why i could not invite empires. You NEED to have the form federation tech by yourself even if you re in a federation you cannot invite others without taht tech. Noone knew that, there was no tooltip or anythin , i think it is a bug that the invite empire is not even in the diplomatic screen when you have not that tech and you re the presidet ;) at oeast it should be there and greyed out and say you need that tech ;) . But at least i know know what the cause was ;)
