how do you make a sector?!

got an error message saying i have too many planets and that my entire empire sucks now "make a sector" it says. no indication how to do that. pretty sure ive clicked everything too

The empire tab where it shows you a list of your planets, at the upper right is the make a sector option.

On the empire screen,planets tab,upper right corner "Create Sector". Then choose the worlds on the map you want to add to the sector by clicking the little box next to the system name. You can add as many systems as you like but they need to border each other to be able to add them.

Be aware, that deleting systems from sector and deleting a sector itself cost you influence. It can screw you real bad if you're not careful.

This is incredible unhelpful. I have the planets tab up but their is no ''Create Sector'' visible. If there's something else then prehaps It would have been a clever idea to mention that.

I agree that the button is too "hidden" but since as far as i know the tutorial robot did tell you how to create a sector, that should not be a problem. Maybe you should keep tutorial enable while having your first 5 playthough and make sure your click every tabs in the game.

OK, so in a nutshell I found out how to do this. Firstly it's not the empire screen, it's actually the Empire Tab (on the top left menu bar for tabs. This is the 1st of the 5 tabs) Once you click on this it will open a Window Tab for the Empire section, which will cover most of your Screen view. The create sectors will be seen as a ''Create a Sector'' title text in a lined box/rectangle grid. The text itself will be located at the top right of this Window Tab.

I would also like to apoligise for the lack of understanding some people seem to have towards this situation. - example: Some players might find it difficult to follow the tutorials or remember them. Due to acceptable issues. I hope no-ones arrogance or intolarance effects anyone dealing with this issue.

I found it difficult to follow the tutorials too :). So i kept tutorial enable for the first 3 rounds of game and still enable the "tips only" option now.

There are a lot of Mods that change how Sectors work, some of them set the number of Core Planets/Systems so high that you do need to use Sectors.

Yeah, very easy to miss but there is a CLOSE button at the very bottom edge of the screen.

As tatsu said above, the interface is now different and as I am just getting into the game I too cannot figure out how to create a new sector. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
