Report a translation problem
The game still won't let you use Ironman mode if you use a mod that changes the checksum. That hasn't changed.
Back in the other games you could use Ironman, but you just wouldn't get achievements.
Failing that, the easiest way is to make a note of the current checksum. Start up the game without mods then check the 4 number/letter string next to the game version in the lower left. Right now it's 4d15.
Next enable whichever mod you want to try, start up the game and check if the checksum has changed. If it has then achievements are disabled, if not then you're good to go.
As stated above it's pretty much only graphical/UI mods that don't change it (and even some of those do). Right now I'm using a couple of mods that give you extra options for your flag. Neither changes the checksum.
Sorry, that is what I meant. The way I have always looked at is, there is no point in using Ironman mode if you can't get achievements.
