you do the opposite you did to turn it on? Like, you turn the mod on in the launcher, make your species, save it, quit the game, open the launcher, uncheck the mod in the list, and then you can play.

like it says exactly in the mod description. Or like you'd realize if you spent a minute in the launcher, or a minute thinking.

No. When you click on a mod in that menu, it changes. there is a glowing outline around it, and the box is a bit darker. That means it is on.

If you click on it again, it goes away. That means it is off. Its really not that hard, I don't understand how you are not following it.

I think if you click that Mod again it will not be "active" anymore.. There is a faint-colored outline going around the rectangle that is the Mod name.. Click it and the outline goes away.. It's disabled..

EDIT: Ron Madden you should be ashamed of yourself as a human being.. No need to be mean or fussy to some stranger that is ONLY asking an innocent question.. Jeez.. Go eat a snickers bar..

Just ignore the really stupid questions. That's what I do. Hope you enjoyed your snicker.

So we are clear I'm new to paradox games this my first game with them and I didn't know I'm used to the Rome 2 mod where it actually lets me know if it's on or off

Thank you for sticking up for me I mean I didn't know there wasn't something to let me know if it's on or off I'm used to the Rome 2 mods that let u know but thanks anyways and God bless u
The faint line means, mod is activated. It's currently absolutely not intuitive. That 1 pixel line... I saw the mods in the launcher and thought they were active but I was wrong... Now I know it, but it's a simple fact: many people will be confused and waste a few minutes of their time.

It was particularly confusing for me since I have only one mod installed, so I cannot tell if the selection line means I'm activating/deactivating or just selecting the mod (though that by itself does nothing, so...)
Yeah, it needs to be made a checkbox.

Its off by default

I've got to agree with OP here, this is a really unintuitive UI decision. I was looking for a checkbox.

No reason to be a prick. He just asked a question. Thanks for the answer, but I didn't know either. I'm new to this, as they might be. No reason to be a gatekeeper.

Just to clarify, I was having the same issue. But apparently the little on off switch they are talking about is in the playsets tab, not the installed mods tab where I have been looking the whole time.
