I just had it happen my main science officer got elected and I had to hire a new scientist as he/she/it (we're insects) is now our ruler.
+1
this is needed
That must be it then.... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! -_- Guess I'll start again and choose the sole ruler government option then... Cause having your explorer scientists all of a sudden decide to take up politics for some stupid reason bloody SUCKS! She was my highest rank scientist!
Thanks for the help everyone ^-^
What government do you run, did he get elected?
Well its not that much of an issue, it happened once now I know to check the elections screen and just chuck a vote or two the way of the current leader and you can get them re-elected. It only happens with certain forms of government as well, not all. Im a theocratic republic, I believe all the forms of democracy have it in some way but for example the military republic is just admirals and generals (I think)
It usually does a popup warning you of elections, check their mandate promises see their vote share and support the one you want (costs about 40 influence)
Ah ok then, I will reload a save from before the vote and do that then... I am in a military republic lol
TBF I think its a fair price to pay for the pay offs of the democracy gov types, like mine gives me less divergence and +2 core planets.
