I have researched fusion power but what does this mean?
It says that i have unllocked the fusion reactor component.

Where do i find it? What does it do? Or it is a ''passive'' bonus?

What does it mean that it can be small medium and large?

It's a ship component, you can put it on your ships to increase their power output, which enables you to put bigger weapons etc. on it.

You can put it in your ships! Go to the ship designer. The Fusion core is much more effective then the nuclear one.

Yes, it's a ship component. To see and use it, open your ship designer. The size (s/m/l) refers to the slot on the ship's hull.

Go to the ship designer, click on one of your ship templates. Once it comes up, click in one of the equipment slots so the game will show you what can go in it on the lefthand side.

There should be a new improved fusion power generator - they deliver more power per slot, so you can either power the same weapons and drives with less generators, or keep the same number of generators and upgrade your weapons/shields - if you have the tech.

Another question to you all, when i go to the panel to put new reactors, does it update all the ships in my fleets or the new ships will be built with this new reactor?

It only affects new ships. You can upgrade the old ones by clicking on the "upgrade" button on the fleet. But that will cost you minerals.
