How often does the leaders you can recruit change?
Just wondering if there is any pattern to when you can get new leaders to recruit or if it is totally random?

When they die

That is it?

So the leaders under the leader recruitment panel will never change, but they will age and die as normal, and once they die a new leader will appear for recruitment.

Is that correct?

There may be a firing mechanic on their summary somewhere and you may get events later on to dismiss some. You can recruit more with influence (the purple orb.)

It depends on your goverment, any republic (the left side) is every 5 years with possible re-elctions) The middle govement options is a council that last 40-60 years, The right Goverment options are dictatorships so the leader stays until death.

im not sure what they are answering. i litterally had one change right before i hired him. screen was open and everything. i got a researcher who got +10% to computing instead but it wasnt nearly as good. no clue if i made it happen somehow or if at a certain interval it just happened.

If one changed, it means one died and was replaced. There's a minimum to the amount that can show up.

ok. one died then but not of old age. maybe those 3 that can be recuited randomly die sometimes. he had to have been mid 40s and my life span is 72 i belive when i looked at it.

That's a projected time. Sometimes yes, people die early or late.

I am looking to hire new planetary leaders since my former leaders have died of old age.

All 3 potential leaders have the same "Iron Fist" trait (slavery bonuses) which are useless to my non slave having empire. All 3 are fairly young (early 40s).

Without hiring and firing them (a waste of my precious influence points, how do I get new potential leaders?

Old age seems ridiculous in a democracy.

Also, all 3 of these people WERE NOT leaders listed in the election during the last state wide democratic election.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading!

Psssst, you better not say that out loud here. People don't take benevolent rule too well, and will try to tell you you should totally slap shackles on those filthy xenos :)

I think it would be a good idea to freeze time while you are looking at hiring (or other actions if any are possible) new Leaders.

I thnk that I saw a tech or possibly a Racial trait, ethic, etc., that allowed other Races in your Empire to contribute Leaders to your pool of Leaders that can be hired, which might be different in their abilities/traits because they came from other Races.

Why is that?

As best I can tell, every 6-12 months, one leader is shuffled out of the three candidates and another one is put in. That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge.

Thanks, I will let you all know what happens for me.
