Can't you also do full orbital bombardment provided you are able?
Any suggestions on how to go about doing this effeciently?
The Banks update is supposed to address this by allowing more gains in late game wars but the details have not been worked out yet.
i was gonna start new game with new features, been waiting ages, wanna play stellaris again but they not releasing the new features fast enough XD
But what about the snail-like aliens!? They probably don't wear boots! (At least, I've never seen a snail IRL with fitted shoes...)
Of course, in this case, you meant wings in the air!
On topic, I have noticed that late game I can take/liberate quite a large amount of territory. Most colonies are only worth 4 warscore - even powerful ones.
Snails definitively use ultra-speedy curled-snake-shaped wheeled vehicles to join invasions, as in Look At That "S"- Car Go! Honestly, don't people ever go to vaudeville anymore? This is all too easy.
then send your armies in, you can build armies from the army tab on your planets.
If you see you're loosing the fight, retreat your army and continue bombing the planet. Your army will regenerate in orbit but the defending army won't if you bomb them.
Conquering and thus occupying a planet gives warscore based on the size of the empire. Larger empires need you to conquer more planets than smaller empires.
Blockading a planet and bombing it from orbit always give a fixed 7.5 warscore, so if you're dealing with a particularly strong empire blockading might be more efficient.
Remember that you only get planets after the war, once you reach 100 warscore.
If you want to , you can negotiate if you click the war icon on the bottom right of your screen. Here you can offer a white peace, surrender or make some demands.
