Yes, for me the cursor is also broken (transparency map or something like this) on R9 270X (radeonsi, mesa-git, llvm-svn), and also all planets display only night textures and thus never seem illuminated from the star (specular highlights work as expected though).

Probably has something to do with radeonsi then

Looks the same with amdgpu

No such problems on Windows with radeon.

Anyways most games give you ability to enable harware cursor if not in options than at ini files. odd that paradox didn't add it.

Same problem with AMD GPU on Linux.

@Laxe.dll, yes, it works fine on Windows, and that is not surprising.

@Jabba the Frog, I'd be surprised if it were a problem in the KMS kernel driver (radeon vs amdgpu). It's almost certainly in the Mesa radeonsi driver, which is used by both radeon and amdgpu.

Anyway, there seems to be some progress at least on the cursor issue on the Paradox forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com]. The link might not be accessible without a Paradox accound and a properly registered Stellaris, so here's some copy-paste...

Could you post your error.log after you encounter this issue? (if it contain anything)
It is in the logs folder under ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris

Officially we don't support running on the mesa driver

From the same source, the linux proprietary drivers apparently detect this and do the pre multiplication.

I'm guessing modding the cursor files can fix this so I plan on looking at it.

Any chance of an official fix there @Zoft ?

Pretty sure they'll fix it together with the AMD guys, but it might take some time. I guess at Paradox they're currently overwhelmed with all type of feedback.
